Steve specializes in corporate financial advisory services including mergers and acquisitions, business valuations, ownership transition plans, and strategic planning for architecture, engineering, environmental consulting, and construction firms. He leads ZweigWhite's merger and acquisition practice and has advised on a wide number of A/E transactions, representing both buyers and sellers.

Prior to joining ZweigWhite, Steve was an investment banking associate with Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown in McLean, Virginia, where he was responsible for capital raising, restructuring, and merger and acquisition assignments for companies in the Mid-Atlantic region. He also worked in mergers and acquisitions and syndicated finance for Chase Securities in New York, structuring and executing numerous debt financing and advisory transactions across a variety of industries. In addition, Steve was a financial analyst and contract surety bond underwriter with USF&G in Baltimore, where he analyzed performance and payment guarantees for multinational contractors and construction services companies.

Steve received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance from Penn State University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Cornell University Johnson Graduate School of Management. He earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, having completed the three-year program of study and examinations concentrating on securities valuation and investments. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the Washington Society of Investment Analysts.
