Chad has been with the firm since 2005 and is a Principal in the Audit department. Prior to
joining DGC, he spent seven years at O’Connor and Drew, PC. Chad primarily services clients in the professional service, manufacturing, distribution and high-tech industries.
EXPERTISE
Chad works with the owners of closely-held businesses, addressing their financial and tax advisory needs. He specializes in auditing and taxation, as well as financial and tax planning. His expertise extends to ownership transition, internal controls and systems analysis, as well as evaluating operational strategies and business opportunities. This includes M&A due diligence.
Chad is responsible for the production of DGC’s annual Architectural Study, which includes firsthand research and analysis of architectural firms in the Boston metro market. Because of his in-depth knowledge of the A&E industry, Chad frequently speaks at architectural and engineering related programs presented by various organizations.

Jim has been servicing the accounting, tax and consulting aspects of privately held companies and owners since 1989, and is a Principal in the firm’s Audit department. Jim's experience includes due diligence performance for buyers and sellers, financing advisory services, succession planning, business transition planning, key employee compensation strategies, internal control, and operational efficiency consulting, as well as the traditional audited Financial Statements, business and individual tax planning.

Jim specializes in helping clients improve their accounting effectiveness, and he works with clients to develop and implement leading financial indicators for decision makers, as well as advising the owners of closely-held businesses on entity and individual tax planning matters. His industry knowledge includes the architecture and engineering industry, as well as manufacturing, distribution, retail, professional service, defense contractors, construction, wholesale, distribution, high-tech, biotech, and retail automotive.
