ZweigWhite Management Series: Leadership Skills
Continuing Education

Most architects and engineers who find themselves in leadership positions are there because they started the company or were promoted because they were good at their jobs. However, being a principal, president, vice president, CEO, or other A/E firm leader is a different job -- one that most people admit to being ill-equipped to take on confidently. In fact, some of the very qualities that exemplify successful architects and/or engineers are ones that impede the development of leadership skills.

In today's world, leadership has taken on new meaning. The work environment at A/E firms is quite different from the past. Employee styles and expectations can vary greatly. And, this is the first time in history that four generations have co-existed in the workplace. Principals with a repertoire of skills will have a secure foundation from which to operate and earn the trust of their staff. When that trust is reciprocated, performance and cooperation are enhanced at all levels.

This one-day,
leadership skills seminar focuses on the process of becoming a leader and the tactical skills required in positions of firm management and responsibility.

Who Should Attend?
There are many courses out there that cover generic leadership issues for any and every industry, but this program has been designed specifically for principals and other individuals who are currently-- or plan to be-- in leadership roles at architecture, engineering, or environmental consulting firms.

Anyone can benefit from the leadership skills and strategies presented in this seminar, including CEOs, presidents, partners, vice presidents, principals, directors, department heads, branch managers, and other senior managers from A/E firms.
